K. MICHIE HARRISS DEW, Ph.D.
Sees adults, adolescents, and children. Michie is a counseling psychologist who provides services for family problems, parenting issues, children’s behavioral problems, evaluations for ADD and ADHD, learning disabilities, development delays and acting out behaviors, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, etc. She also has specialized training in dealing with trauma, career counseling, and educational consulting. Michie also offers Christian counseling to those who request it.
CLAIRE P. HUPRICH, LCSW, ACSW
Sees adults, adolescents and children. Claire provides services for marital issues, family problems, depression, anxiety, parent/child conflict, ADD, ADHD, co-dependency, trauma recovery, and critical incident stress debriefing. Claire also offers Christian counseling to those who request it.
STUART C. HUNT, Ph.D. LCSW, ACSW
Sees adults. Stuart provides services for marital and couples counseling, individual issues of anxiety, stress, mood disturbance, trauma recovery, gay and lesbian issues, including couples therapy, and general adult issues.
HEATHER F. McCAIN, Psy.D.
Heather is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides individual counseling and psychoeducational testing. Testing is provided for those ages 6 years and up while counseling is with adolescents and adults. Areas of interest include pregnancy and postpartum struggles, women’s issues, LGBTQ, anxiety, stage of life transitions, general adult difficulties, family of origin issues, and college students.
DORTCH L. MANN, LPC
Sees adults, older adolescents, couples, and families. Dortch provides counseling to individuals, families, and groups. He has extensive training and experience with ADHD, adjustment issues, relationship issues, mood and anxiety difficulties, and parent guidance.
SARAH E. GATES, M.A.
Sarah is a licensed Psychological Associate who sees children, adolescents, and families. She provides counseling and psychological evaluation services to children and adolescents individually and within the context of the family. She also completes psychoeducational and ADHD evaluations with adults. Sarah has worked in both private practice and the school setting and has extensive experience in the areas of learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, oppositional defiant behaviors, developmental disabilities and giftedness. Furthermore, Sarah has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder in childhood and early adolescence.
DANIELLE C. TYLER, MSW LCSW
Sees adults, adolescents and children. Danielle is a licensed clinical social worker who provides services to individuals, families and couples for family problems, depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disturbance, panic related disorders, self-esteem, parenting, trauma and recovery, behavioral problems, major life transitions, relationship counseling and LGBTQ issues. She has worked as a school social worker and is familiar with school related behavioral issues and programs. She is also a Veteran of the USNR who served her country for 8 years and was Honorably Discharged in 2007. She has also worked in the hospital setting as a group counselor specializing in acute care with young adults experiencing all forms of anxiety and depression related disorders. She offers spiritual counseling to those who request it. Special interest populations include: Women’s Stage of Life and Transitional Issues, Children, Teens, Young Adults, Military Members and their families. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Self-Esteem, Trauma and Mindfulness Practices.
JENNIFER SOMMER, Ph.D.
Sees children, adolescents, and adults. Jennifer is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in comprehensive assessments and treatments for individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Other areas of interest include family and parenting issues, children’s behavioral concerns, learning disorders and giftedness, anxiety, and adjustment issues. Prior to joining Carolina Psychological Associates, Jennifer worked at a clinic specializing in ADHD. She has experience directing summer treatment programs for children with ADHD and other behavioral and learning difficulties.
RYAN TALBERT, Psy.D.
Sees children ages 4 and up, adolescents, and adults. Ryan is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides therapy and assessments for individuals with mood, behavioral, relational, developmental, substance abuse, minority, multicultural, and ethnic identity issues. Ryan has previously worked in a variety of forensic settings including juvenile hall and a state hospital in California. A native of Hawaii, Ryan practices a flexible and open approach, meeting the needs of the person where they are here and now. He has specialized research and training with children and adolescent development, trauma, substance abuse, and Bicultural identity.
