ERIN ECKENROAD, Psy.D.
Erin is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides individual therapy to adults 18 and over and psychological evaluation for individuals across the lifespan. She received her doctorate from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA and did her doctoral internship at Auburn University in Auburn, AL. She values taking detailed histories for psychological evaluations to ensure that every important part of a client’s current and prior psychological, emotional, behavioral, and social history is taken into account. With testing, she seeks to help clients and their families with identifying specific areas of need and support and identifying new ways to navigate daily challenges. As a therapist, Erin approaches counseling from a cognitive-behavioral approach with a values and empowerment-focused lens. She finds that helping clients identify their true strengths and core values early on in the therapy process helps to empower clients to reach their set goals by encouraging them to live in alignment with the aspects of themselves they value most. Erin has experience working with depression, anxiety, phase-of-life transitions, relationship discord, and identity development. When Erin is not working, you can find her enjoying a community market, watching movies, and baking!
